aw bummer... had some trouble getting into it at first, but stuck with it and grew to enjoy it. Haven't read the novel so didn't have anything to compare it to except what I had seen here on gogo, but would really enjoy more! the intrigue and suspense were much more interesting, most of the characters were done pretty well - especially the principal, TS's teacher and his gf - seemed to be more involvement in the story (as i remember) as opposed to the animation

Totally wrong. He had all reasons to become strong. Biggest reason Soul hall indirectly killed her mother and tribe and attacked him .just because he is simp it doesn't mean he doesn't had reasons to be strong,he forgets to mention about her mother later on and wanted to pregnant her sister badly tang san became big simp and even commits suicide for wu and wu sacrificed herself not to mention simp san even tries to sacrifice himself for female enemies

Even TS's first Man-Faced Spider was only ~2-3k yo, and XX has little/no attack ability even on land, much less against an ocean spirit beast in its native environment. This part is a donghua invention. In the novel she made it to the stairs under the protection of TS's SG Light and is walking them now, getting humbled by how far ahead the others are..
